****UPDATE: We will continue to monitor the Covid-19 state regulations and will make adjustments accordingly.
This 8th annual event lasts 2 days and is held every fall (2nd weekend in September -Friday and Saturday) rain or shine . The trail follows Route 208 (Courthouse Road/Business Route) from Four Mile Fork area to the Spotsylvania County line at beautiful Lake Anna. The event will feature multi-family yard sales, business sidewalk sales, antiques, and much more!
Businesses and land owners along the Sale Trail are encouraged to set up sales during the event and those with extra land/space available can rent out spaces to sellers who would like to participate but do not live along the trail.
Anyone with permission from the land or business owner along the route may set up and host a sale. There is no charge or registration required to set up, unless the property owner charges a fee, and any money that you make is yours to keep!
Sales may NOT be set up along the highway right-of-way. You must provide OFF ROAD parking for the safety of everyone involved. **Please do not pull over and park on the road shoulder as this is very dangerous.
As a reminder, please be on the lookout at all times for pedestrians crossing the road (208 Courthouse Road/Business Route) during the 208 Sale Trail event on Friday & Saturday (Sept 11 & 12, 2020). And, if you’re hosting a yard sale on your property, please ensure there is OFF ROAD parking available. Safety is our first priority! We MUST ensure all cars pull safely off the road and are not causing any traffic issues.
So whether you are looking to make some extra cash, hoping to find some hidden treasures, or just want to shop around while enjoying a family-friendly community event, join us this September for the Route 208 Sale Trail, only in Spotsylvania County!
